Founder of JML Business Services

Jo Fife set up JML Business Services in 1993 to provide accounting, taxation and business management support to the SME community. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has over 25 years of commercial experience.
Naveed Mughal

Director of JML Business Services

Naveed Mughal is a qualified accountant with a Master’s degree from Cardiff University. He founded his own accounting firm in 2018, which now has offices in the UK, Dubai, and Pakistan. In his leisure time, Naveed enjoys traveling, football, and cricket. He is also committed to giving back, volunteering with an international disaster relief charity. In 2020, he was recognised as one of the “Top 10 UK Digital Accountants.”

Lisa is a seasoned Client Manager with 12 years of experience in accounting. Lisa has a proven track record of assisting clients with their accounting and tax needs, and invests time in building long-standing client relationships. Lisa enjoys providing expert guidance and support, ensuring that clients navigate their financial challenges with confidence and clarity. In her spare time Lisa enjoys keeping fit and healthy and is a regular runner and cyclist, she also likes to travel and enjoys going to live music events and shows.

With 25 years of experience in payroll management and office administration, I specialise in guiding clients through complex payroll queries with precision and care. My extensive expertise ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with regulations, and seamless office operations. Whether navigating intricate payroll challenges or overseeing daily office affairs, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a proactive approach to support my clients’ success. When I am not working I enjoy walks with my Pomeranians and the occasional West End musical.
Melanie Griffiths

Melanie Griffiths is an experienced finance and operations manager, responsible for leading the finance team, including overseeing credit control. Before joining, she worked at a successful IT company and a venture capital-backed firm, managing finances, payroll, and operations. Melanie brings a wealth of experience in mergers, due diligence projects, and digital transformation initiatives, where she collaborates with clients and partners to maintain and manage digital records effectively.
Brendan Roodt

Brendan Roodt is a lawyer specializing in corporate finance and major commercial projects, primarily serving owner-managed businesses. Known for his problem-solving skills, he tackles both legal and business challenges. Brendan has acted as legal counsel on accountancy practice transactions for both buyers and sellers and has also worked on deals for an aggregator in a related professional services sector.
Jason Malik

Jason Malik, Head of Client Care and Success, has a background in working with large accounting firms, focusing on integration and practice management. He brings extensive experience with software tools like Pixie, Senta, Salesforce, and Mailchimp. Jason also manages compliance and regulatory matters, including AML checks and KYC processes. In addition, he plays a key role in fostering strong client relationships and ensuring that customer service targets are consistently achieved.
Muhammad Luqman

Muhammad Luqman is a Chartered Certified Accountant with diverse experience in compliance, audits, and tax. He is dedicated to solving his clients’ challenges, providing well-researched and comprehensive solutions. A father of three—one daughter and twin baby boys—Luqman enjoys playing badminton and cricket, as well as watching tennis and cricket matches in his free time.
